I'm trying to add a wireless network card to my emachine et1331g 05w and I cant get the case open

From the back, the right side has 2 screws, to open up the side in. However theres this little metal... thing. Sticking out of the part for the back, and going through the desktop case, so I can't open it.

So I can't open it, does anyone know what to do?

Errr... I might have posted this in the wrong forum, because I thought this was the general problems/solutions forum.

So long as you didn't put a lock onto the hole in the small metal part sticking out, you should be able to get the side panel off. Remember, you have to slide the panel to the back before it comes off. It can often take a bit of pressure before the side panel will slide off to the back.
