Hi, I've noticed in the last few months that my emachines 2230 pc, (approx. 5 years old), is reluctant to power on. It has also had the fan running continuously which is different to when I got it. Sometimes it takes as many as 10 attempts to power on (by pressing the power-on switch) before it decides to come to life. The blue light comes on at the switch, but the machine doesn't want to wake up. It sometimes helps if I remove any additional peripherals by disconnecting USB leads etc. It sounds like it is on the verge of entering a deeper coma than I'll be able to wake it from. In a proactive attempt to prevent the computer dying, can you recommend a cure before its too late? Is it related to the power switch/ PSU/ motherboard/ CPU? Thanks jh
