Hi, Go to the device manager and make sure you have no yellow flags on the audio devices. I suspect you have downloaded the drivers but they have not been installed. In most cases the files are zip files and first have to be opened before you can install them. coastie

First, you have to check drivers in control panel. If it is ok then you should update drivers then restart your computer.
This is the best solution otherwise you have to install from driver's cd.

First check your bios if it is perfect then you may go to Settings> Select Device Manger > and make sure under the sound, video and game settings that the AC97 is there. If not, chances are that you'll have an unknown multimedia device somewhere in the manager. Uninstall the totally unknown device, reboot, pop the Mobo driver CD in and re-install the correct driver and get the latest driver. If all else fails with this and your other problems, backup your all important docs, games etc. Just Re-install Windows.
