Good day,

I have all tried almost all ati drivers OMEGA/DNA/etc... reformatted and reinstalled a couple of times and none of them work.

Thanks for doug dunlop (emachine yahoo groups) i was able to install ATI Driver for 320m into my M5305 laptop. He provided me with his system information. He said that hes using the original bios, so i flashed back to the original bios but still code (12)

info on doug BIOS:
BIOS Version/Date Phoenix 0009, 02/03/2003
SMBIOS Version 2.3

my BIOS:
BIOS Version/Date Phoenix 000E, 07/30/2003
SMBIOS Version 2.3

I remembered a bios files at http://www.dexplor.com/bios/. i tried the bios files and 720K7009.ROM it worked, no more code (12) as long as the VGA size is 32mb.

this works on M53xxx laptops

1. Flash your bios to Original 0009 version (either from CD or flash drive if your on me09)

Bios file
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/Emac ... %20Bioses/
File: Bios Vista.zip

I can't stress enough that flashing the BIOS can be dangerous if the flashing process
isn't finished successfully.

Make sure your battery is full and on AC power and that your laptop does not overheat and may shutoff during
the process.

2. After flashing, reboot, Press Del to access BIOS settings
3. Set VGA Memory to 32Mb
4. Flash H8 to DISABLE <--- always disable unless your flashing to a new kbc bios
5. Save BIOS changes
6. reboot
7. Update your existing display driver
8. When ask to install Video driver choose install manually
Uncheck the Show compatible drivers, under Choose ATI
9. Choose RADEON IGP 320 (Microsoft Corporation - XDDM)
10. reboot

Nice one! But I don't think I want to downgrade my bios. I like having ME09 and the ability to boot USB. Also the newer bios' fixed the sleep problem. I hope they release a new bios with whatever works in the original but with all the benefits of ME09!
