I have an emachine model T3616. It came with Vista and I wiped it and put a fresh install of XP on it. I am having some compatability issues with the OS change. Issues include sound from only one side, USB ports still powered up when the computer is off, odd processor noise, and others.

Any help or ideas where to turn would be appreciated. To get it up and running, i used the setup disks from a e machines t4010, then downloaded the correct motherboard drivers, video drivers, sound drivers, etc. Something still doesn;t seem right.

You may ned to check to make sure you have XP drivers for those things. The one thing that does give me pause, is whether or not there are XP drivers for the MOBO and Chipset. This is not to mention a possible BiOS issue as well.

I have already installed it on my Windows XP on an E Machine T3616. It works very well, there is no problem regarding any hardware. It is very fast and effective so there is no problem to use.
